I just watched Alexander Sokurov's film "The Sun," starring Issey 
Ogata as Emperor Hirohito.
I have some questions related to this:

1. Has the film been shown in Japan?
2. What kind of Japanese response has Ogata gotten to his portrayal?
3. What's the current consensus in Japan on a Japanese actor 
depicting an actual emperor on film? Does anybody have an official 
position on this deed?
