I too got subscribed.... it was annoying and not obvious how to 
unsubscribe.... I had to go to Yahoo to get the info, and it took me a 
while mainly because of spam lassitude.

However!!! by the same method I seem to have been automatically 
subscribed to Mark Seldon's "Japan Focus Newsletter".
It is really terrific, and I wouldn't have found it myself.
So I don't have any complaints, CineAsia was worth suffering.
