There's a long opening essay focused on the Heisei Tanuki film in the book

Jiburi no mori e ジブリの森へ、edited by 米村みゆき,
ISBN 4-916087-40-2 C0374, 2003.

Pages 12-52 have a lot of information on the Heisei Tanuki film, and the book as a whole is intended to be an analysis of both Miyazaki and Takahata--though most of the essays in the 257 pages are about Miyazaki, there's an essay on Grave of the Fireflies, pp. 152-163. There's also a useful Miyazaki-Takahata chronology at the end, plus a bibliographic guide to related resources.
