Hello Mr. Brian JENKINS:
I usually just lurk on the KineJapan distribution list,
but I believe that I might be able to refer you to some
film titles, for consideration.
*Annyon Kimuchi [An'nyoung Kimchi]*, 1993, Directed
by MATSUE Tetsuaki.
*Biito [Beat]*, 1998, Directed by MIYAMOTO Amon.
*Dojji go go [Dodge a-Go Go]*, 2002, Directed by
MIHARA Mitsuhiro.
*KT*, 2002, Directed by SAKAMOTO, Junji.
*Yoru Wo Kakete [Through the Night]*, 2002, Directed
by KIM Su-jin.
By the way, has not KITANO "Beat" Takeshi done some
films about gangsters in Okinawa?
I believe that there are several books available about
minorities in Japan, but they are not film related.
