I think his last was a segment in _11'09''01 - September 11_, and not a bad
segment at that--reminiscent in places of _Kuroi ame_, which in itself is one of
the finest anti-war films ever made--the last shot of Shigematsu looking to see
a rainbow as an omen of Yasuko's potential for recovery is just
heartbreaking--shot in black and white, a rainbow from the very start is an
impossibility... Really a brilliant decision to use black and white.
