Which was made into a wonderful short animation THE RESTAURANT OF MANY
ORDERS by Tadanari Okamoto, although he sadly died midway through the
production, and it was finished by Kihachhiro Kawamoto. The film is from
1991, and if you are in Japan, you can find the VHS in the Shinjuku branch
of Tsutaya. Its a beautiful piece of animation, very similar in style to the
UK animation of Raymond Brigg's THE SNOWMAN.
