Cannes Line-up Announced

Hashiguchi isn't necessarily out. Directors' Fortnight, for example,
have yet to announce their lineup. It may not be competition (or in
the official selection), but there's no shame being in the same
section that presented Bong Joon-ho's THE HOST and Pen-ek
Ratanaruang's PLOY in the past couple of years.
If it doesn't make Cannes, and it does open in June, then it might not
be a priority for Venice who prefer world premieres in their key
sections.
