About the so-called 'pinky violence'

Dear all,

I was wondering if this term was coming from Toei marketing department or was
created more recently by some US fanboys (T.Weisser?). I remember already having
heard about this term in the late 90s! A good definition could be a ‘Kanji Amao
production’? (The same question could apply to the term 'Violent Pink' which
recently re-appear with Hasebe's Jack the ripper US release.)
