Question about Daiei closure

If the Japanese Wikipedia entry is to be trusted, Daiei's last distributed
film was Obayashi Nobuhiko's "Nagori Yuki" in 2002. The company effectively
ceased to exist in 2002 when Kadokawa Shoten bought it lock stock and barrel
from Tokuma Shoten and transferred all rights and staff to a new entity,
Kadokawa Daiei Eiga. This was later consolidated with Kadokawa's other film
subsidiaries in 2004 to create Kadokawa Eiga.
