This is a related event to the World Premiere of Miike's new anime
adaptation YATTERMAN, which our festival is organizing. We're bringing
Miike and star / pop singer Sho Sakurai to NYC for the premiere on
Friday the 6th (a screening not open to the public), in conjunction
with Nikkatsu and the NY Comic Con. Miike will host a panel at the
Comic Con on Friday afternoon, as well.
We had originally wanted to plan a lot of additional events with him
in NYC - including talks at NYU and/or Columbia - but most of our
proposals were shot down by the Japanese companies involved.
