Tetsuo: The Bullet Man is a co-production between Tsukamoto's company Kaiju Theater and Asmik Ace, was shot in and around Tokyo over quite a couple of months with a very small and very young crew. Lead actor is American newcomer Eric Bossick, a Tokyo-based actor/photographer/butoh dancer. It's a new story that adheres to the Tetsuo universe but also features some interesting continuations of themes and ideas from Tsukamoto's recent films (notably Vital and Haze).
