Minamida Yoko

As far as I can tell, the most recent film I've seen Minamida in is Pigs and Battleships (from 1961).  IMDB says she played a character called Katsuyo there -- but just who was Katsuyo?

She was also Otama in Crucified Lovers.  Was Otama the maid of Osan (and the young woman who had a crush on Mohei -- and who was being harassed by Ishun)?
