Dear Martin,
I'm not sure how you are defining "anti-militarist," but Furuhata Yasuo's *
Hotaru *shows Tokkous under a new light.
Furuhata not only depicts a Korean pilot (a motif that Ishihara used also in
Ore wa ... which I would not describe as anti-militarist) but depicts
the "mother" of Tokkou as an old woman who now feels that she was simply too
young and ignorant when she had been sending youths to tokkou mission.
