I think the important conduit is the Edinburgh film festival. Oshima was one of the heroes of the festival in the mid-1970s, which also ran a conference and publication, and Screen would also organize screenings of the films in London. I have some of the Edinburgh publications but I'm in Japan at the moment so I can't look through them. Does anyone else have copies?
