Akira Kurosawa's "Masque of the Black Death"

Back in 2008 it was announced that "Masque of the Black Death," the last script Akira Kurosawa wrote, would be turned into an animated film to come out in 2010. I haven't heard anything about the film since the original announcement. I'd assume that the project just fizzled out, but I thought I'd check to see if anyone knew anything more concrete.
