Just calling attention to two different positions being advertised at
Boston University. The film studies position is in the department
of English, though no specific area restrictions have been posed. The
Korean literature search is in my department, and, as noted, we would
welcome people with expertise or interest in film. Feel free to pass

Film Studies:
The Department of English seeks to fill a position starting in
September 2011 at the
rank of Assistant Professor of English (Film Studies), pending final
budgetary approval, to teach film history and film/media theory, with
strong

Korean Literature
Boston University's Department of Modern Languages and Comparative
Literature (MLCL) seeks a Comparative Literature scholar with
expertise in Korean literature to begin September 1, 2011 (pending
final budgetary approval). Specialization within Korean literature
open. Required: Ph.D. at time of appointment and native or near-
native proficiency in both Korean and English, ability to teach a
broad array of undergraduate courses in Korean, East Asian and
Comparative Literature, and demonstration of continuing commitment to
literary research. Additional expertise in Korean cinema and/or
visual culture is also welcomed. Please submit letter of application
