Dear All, A Fellow researcher has the following question. I have not figured out
how to add her to the list. But perhaps you can reply to her by her email,
included here. k
Dear all,

Katherine Mezur has recommended your discussion to me -

Have you heard about or even seen the Japanese-German co-production "Der rote
Punkt/The red spot" by young director Marie Miyayama or do you know any other
examples of German and Japanese actors playing together on the screen?
Best regarde and thanks in advance-
Friederike

Subject: Re: The Vagaries of Film Viewing (Started re: Potemkin)

Roger, Prof. McCaskey needs no excuse at all to show the Odessa steps sequence
to a roomful of teenagers who have no idea what it is. They will thank him and
bless his name long after he is gone. I had a roomful of Americans recently who
did not know what Casablanca is. I don't mean they hadn't seen it, I mean they
did not know what it is. You can call it "generational revenge" or you can
call it education. Regards, FB
