Thank you Ryan for your answer. I assume Nozaki is right to refer to Eiga
hyôron article, for Iwasaki actually just quote Bazin's title, without
exploring any further his theories, in order to discuss Georges Sadoul's
rendition of Japanese cinema in Les Cahiers du cinéma in 1953. Talking of an
"account" was a little misleading from me, indeed.
Thank you also for pointing me "Opening Bazin" : it looks quite fascinating,
and I shall read it as soon as I can.
