The Permanent Seminar on the HIstory of Film Theories has launched a new website:

www.filmtheories.org

As you can see, the main feature of this site will be the dissemination of film theory in translation and in an open source fashion. We are soliciting new translations. If you are interested in participating, please contact Masha Salazkina. Her contact information is on the site.

The next Seminar will be held in Ann Arbor. Dates are not completely finalized, but it is looking like September 20-23. Call for papers will follow shortly. The theme will be the histories of East Asian film theories. This will be the first time that a conference has focussed on this topic. It will be exciting. See you there!

Cheers,

Markus
