Sound on Tsuchimoto Afghan films

Thanks everyone, and sorry for not noticing.
I don't know why I didn't look at the jacket more carefully. If you know that, the opening shot of Tsuchimoto's Afghanistan files in 'Diary' has a significantly different meaning. So it's unrelated to any difficulties in getting the material home. Thanks again.
Roger

  Roger,

The DVD jackets do specifically say "Unfortunately the original location sound track has been lost, so Tsuchimoto himself supplied a new voice-ovr commentary". It is also on the website:

  http://www.zakkafilms.com/film/another-afghanistan-kabul-diary-1985/

I have not seen Afghan Spring recently, but the Siglo site and Tsuchimoto's own site don't mention anything about sound problems, so I assume the sound is original.
