Sorry, I should have checked before sending a message: according to the HMD website, Japan had 12 HMD events, and the individual sponsors are listed. This might be off the topic of the original thread, but I know I was impressed by the number of HMD events hosted in Japan in 2011;  FPS has been active in supporting this as well as Tohoku film and video rescue.
