I've just got the print edition through the post this morning, and havent had a chance to look through it yet, but just wanted to say that my review on Daisuke Miyao's The Aesthetics of Shadow and Yoshiharu Tezuka's Japanese Cinema Goes Global is finally in there.
Regarding Markus' point about the number of Japanese voters, I was asked to offer a few suggestions for suitable names in Japan who might contribute, although this was done at a rather late stage before the poll cut-off date. It might be possibly however that the names contacted didn't respond to the (english-language) solicitation, which is a pity, although it does happen quite frequently that messages to people in the Japanese industry, particularly in the english language, are ignored by their recipients, which is a tragedy in its own right, although its sad that no one from YDIFF was consulted.
