[KineJapan] 'Captured' Japanese footage in 'This Was Japan'

DearKineJapaners,Can anyonehelp me identify these actors or this footage ? (screen captures attached)
It comes fromthe 1945 British compilation film ‘This Was Japan’ by the Crown Film Unit.Unusually,both a source list and a shot list survive for this film at the National Archives.  I have failed to fingerprint it to somethingelse I’m researching but it’s not without historiographical interest.  Hara Setsuko frolicking at Nara, in DieTochter des Samurai,has been grafted onto shots of labouring peasants and been recast as the idlearistocracy living off the back of the exploited masses.  Die Tochter is the only fiction film listed in the source list.However there’s also 400 feet (out of 1,000 ft) of “unidentified film from the MOI”[Ministry of Information].
The shot listat this point goes :-552-560Street riot, soldiers beating back crowd [evidently from actuality]561-564 Childrunning into house to its mother   [unquestionablyfrom a fiction film]565-568 Childin mother’s arms, both terrified569-571 Manwith worried expression572-575 Childin mother’s armsetc.  - all these shots from 561 look as they arefrom the same sequence with what looks to me like characteristic Japanese filmlighting.  They are employed here todepict the populace in fear of the secret police.
The point ofthis for me is to understand what Japanese films had been ‘captured’ (if it is Japanese) by theBritish in 1945.  Anyway, any cluesconsidered …Roger
