[KineJapan] Koyama Shigeru

The great by player Koyama Shigeru has died at the age of 87. Starting out in the Bungakuza theater troupe, he made his film debut in 1953 and appeared in many great films by Kobayashi, Ichikawa, Yamamoto, and others, often playing cold villains or unfeeling bureaucrats. He also frequently appeared on television, notably in the 1960s hit, The Guardman. His last film role was a significant role in Kitano's Outrage Beyond. He died on January 3, but his death was only announced now.
