[KineJapan] Seeking panelists for ASCJ 2018

To any Japanese / East Asian cinema specialists who might be in or near
Japan in June of next year,

Seán Hudson and I are seeking presenters and / or a discussant for a panel
on East Asian visual media for the 2018 ASCJ conference (International
Christian University, Tokyo, June 30-July 1, proposal deadline Oct. 15).
Our current focus is on mockumentary / found footage media, particularly in
the realm of horror films and horror media ("true" ghost stories, internet
legends like the "red room," found footage horror films and TV shows,
depictions of real places and events in horror media). We welcome papers on
(horror or non-horror) film, television, and games, especially papers that
take an inter- / transnational approach to East Asian media, either by
focusing on other regions or by extending the scope of their analysis
beyond national boundaries altogether.
