Sorry that this deals with the previous crisis (though that one is not by any means over), but I wanted to mention that I wrote up a piece, in part as a record or remembrance, about some of what happened in the Japanese film/media world during the COVID pandemic. I recite the history of some of the movements to help theaters, etc., but I also talk about a few of the films/videos made during that period, including some by Fukada Koji, Iwai Shunji, and Saito Takumi.
