[KineJapan] 2024 Oscars

Perfect Days premiered at Tokyo Film Festival, and they announced that the
film would be Japan’s submission to the Oscar race. Wenders was visibly
embarrassed and mentioned that he was surprised and humbled by that news. I
talked to a lot of people who were scratching their heads about the
nomination (I’ve met few people who dislike the film), but why not? It’s
interesting to think about what’s generating their reaction.
