Large numbers of breeding monarchs have been reported from eastern Colo
through Nova Scotia over the past two weeks. Eggs laid during this period
become the migrants of early Sept. Unless 100 degree weather occurs in the
breeding areas in the next 2.5 weeks, the migration this fall should be one
of the largest in the last two decades.
