"Butterflies of California" by John Adams Comstock

Recently found a 1st Edition, signed "To Dr Horning, With the best
wishes of the author... John Adams Comstock... Sept 20, 1927"  Top 2 3/4
inches of cloth spine have been neatly removed, including the title,
cover loose at hinges (by design?) but good other wise, endplates foxed
with insect damage to lower front (butterflies?)  Text and color plates
in very good condition.
