I was over in Ulster the first weekend in October. I calledinto a place
called The Silent Valley near Newcastle, County Down. The "valley" in the
Mourne Mountains, contains two large rervoirs. The area waa abundant with
wildlife, I was only there for about an hour and saw:-
Peregrines
Crossbills
Badgers
Black Darter  Dragonflys (Sympetrium scotium) dozens of them
Speckled Wood Butterflies 20+
And at least 20 different species of fungi
