I know that retail consumer books on
caterpillars in particular are scarce.
However,
the states you're interested in may have
their
own publications which would be quite
specific
and complete, if technical. Try the Natural
History Survey (or closest thing to it),
major
museum or libraries, or through Yahoo!
or
another search engine, for the states you
have in
