Yesterday and today it reached 50F in Fairbanks, Alaska. Today
I saw a couple of Mourning Cloaks (_Nymphalis antiopa_) and also one
Milbert's Tortoise Shell (_N. milberti_). The earliest observation of
a butterfly in Fairbanks since 1966 has been 5 April, so this is a near-
record early emergence from hibernation.
