Ovoviviparity in Lepidoptera had been reported long time ago, yet I am not
sure if every report is correct or not. Family Tineidae and the family
Pieridae include some ovoviviparious insects. Tinea vivipara and some
Colias spp. are the ones. You can read more about it from H. R. Hagan's
"Embryology of the viviparous insects" published by the Ronald Press Co.
in 1951, I think. Good luck.
