Has Anyone Seen Monarch Butterflies?

I have seen occasional monarchs here in Southwestern Saskatchewan (about
3 altogether) from the end of June onwards although my father-in-law
swears he saw one on our trip to Peace River at the end of May.  

Monarchs are just occasional this time of year.  Asclepias is rather
uncommon, restricted to sandy areas or areas with sufficient moisture,
but I usually see at least a few each summer, so the numbers really
aren't any different.
