I was shown the larva of a Humming-bird Hawk-moth about to pupate at
Spurn Head, East Yorks., England, today. Does anyone know how long
pupation normally lasts, and when the imago of this pupa (assuming it
pupates within the next day or two) might be expected to emerge? Best

I think I am right in saying that your Hummingbird Hawk Moth may be
expected to emerge after being a pupa for only about 2-3 weeks.
