Gynandromorph

	Gynandromorphs are well known in butterflies--and are indeed
rare. I have not personally encountered one in over 100,000 specimens
during the Alaska Lepidoptera Survey.

	However, I once met someone who had alerted people who utilize
butterflies commercially in very large quantities to watch for gynand-
romorphs and other aberrations--and he had an extensive set of color
slides of gynandromorphs for a number of species.
