Impact of Wind Turbines on Insect Migration Routes

I have been contacted by a company that is planning to construct a
235-foot high wind turbine on the Toronto Islands just offshore of the
Toronto Waterfront. They would like to know if their construction will
interfere with the fall migration of the monarch butterfly.

I am wondering if anyone on this list has any experience with the impact
of windmills on the environment. While there can be little doubt that
this structure will have some impact on the environment, it has been
suggested that depending on how fast the wind mill turns, the impact on
monarch butterflies might be minimal.
