The theory about an introduction of Nymphalis antiopa into Venezuela is
possible.

If any population exists in Venezuela, perhaps only an intimate comparison
between this and stocks from other parts of it´s distribution can give an
answer.

I would rather have expected Nymphalis cyanomelas, the close relative to N.
antiopa, living in cloud forests in at least southern Mexico, El Salvador
and
Honduras, to be found in Venezuela.
