I will be tracking
these ova/larvae/cocoons/adults to see if the blue is transmitted.
I also have a potential pairing of two large adults with substantial
pink borders in hind wings. Just want to know if anyone else is
working in this area?

I recall reading a scientific journal about sericulture that there is
considerable differences in the length of the chromosomes in the different
Saturniidae species. How this actually works out in terms of sterility vs.
potency in F1 offspring between the species mentioned I do not know. My
guess would be that because of this difference the offspring would be
sterile.

I may join you in your breeding endevors as soon as I complete my
experiments concerning the Nuclear Polyhedrosis virus (mush disease). I
haven't raised any larvae cultures for several years now, ever since the
disease wiped out my last culture. But so far it appears that my work is
heading in the right direction, and soon I'll be able to raise larvae year
round.
