Painted Lady Migration?

Yes, was seeing Painted Ladies in the Antelope Valley (eastern L.A. Co.)
in mid-February (around 60 in one day).   Last weekend in the
Anza-Borrego Desert (eastern San Diego Co.) had a minimum of 200 per
day.
They are coming through the San Fernando Valley, L.A. Co. in sparse but
regular numbers--probably more in the local foothills that they seem to
follow during migration.  Not yet the buildup that saw in April a few
years ago in the desert of hundreds of thousands--so thick that one
couldn't drive without the car killing them!  Looks like one of those
years......
