Checklists?

	There is no holarctic butterfly checklist. There are still enough
unresolved questions about the taxonomic relationships of Nearctic and
Palaearctic butterflies to make the production of such a list a rather
interesting task.

	An approach to such a list can be made by taking whatever you are
using for Europe, and adding Tuzov's recent Synonymic List of Butterflies
from the ex-USSR, and Ferris' Supplement to the Miller-Brown Catalogue.
But you will be left with the vexed question of conspecifity between var-
ious Old World and New World taxa...
