A Small Tortoiseshell _Nymphalis urticae_ was found today (3/29) in
southern NJ. This date obviously indicates that this individual
overwintered as an adult. Glassberg (1993) lists three records for the NYC
area (2 -Aug., 1 - Oct.) , and speculates it may have been accidently
introduced.

I am curious if anyone knows of a change in status for this species, either
in the NYC region, or anywhwere else on the east coast of the US.
