For those of you involved with Lepidoptera taxonomy I wish to announce
the development of a holdings list for the Frost Entomology Museum at
http://www.ento.psu.edu/home/Frost/index.html
Our Lepidotpera holdings are primarily for eastern USA (but a few specimens
for many species from the West, particularly Ohio), and quite a lot of material
from Panama. There is a scattering of material from other places. Quite a few
unidentified leps from Dutch New Guinea (no other locality information), and
a selection of sphingids from many parts of the world.
The development of this list is only in its begining stages. So far only
Acrolophidae,
Alucitidae, Aparturidae, Lycaenidae, Megalopygidae, Mimallonidae, Noctuidae,
Nymphalidae, Sphingidae, and Tortricidae (incomplete) have been entered.
We will be
continually working on updates so keep an eye on it if there are groups
that may be of
interest.
Loan requests are welcome.
Sincerely, John Grehan
