Personally, I think this whole debate is getting out of hand. I have
never said that I disagree with people (like yourself) exchanging and
breeding what ever you like (within obvious limits). But what I do
(slightly) object to is having adverts in a _scientific_ discussion
group when there in another established forum for them - the livestock
list server.
Nor do I think there was anything wrong with Roger emailing someone to
remind them of the group charter. It is common practice for members to
remind 'newbies' of the rules in many groups. It helps reinforce
'nettiquette', which in the long-term helps us all by reducing
unnecessary transmissions.
