If you had stopped at the bright green I would suggest Angle Shades (Noctuidae: Phlogophora meticulosa), (eats almost anything in the garden and is often very common) but not sure about the yellow stripes - and certainly not the hairs. Keep some of the largest larvae and allow to pupate in moist soil in a suitable container and wait until they emerge.
