<snip of request for information about Green Hairstreak on Bilberriy>
I apologise for using this reqest to broaden out the question.
However in Essex we have always believed that the food plant of the
handful of dispersed colonies of the species use Gorse and Broom.
However in the last two years they have colonised the area that I look
after and several others. These could well be using Gorse or Broom, but
most of the dozen or so individuals I saw seemed to be away from theses
species, and possibly on Bramble. Several books say this is another food
plant. Does anyone have experience of this as well.
Best of luck John with your request also.
