In contrast to postings of low numbers in some areas; in southern interior
BC, Canada most species appear to be at 'normal' abundance and some are
having a very strong flight. Eg. Nymphalis vau-album (or Roddia l-album) is
very abundant this year. Papilio eurymedon and Papilio rutulus had a strong
flight and Ochlodes sylvanoides was absolutely swarming like mosquitoes in
one area recently. Hesperia also seem much more abundant this season as
compared to last year.
