We spent the afternoon in Garden Canyon butterflying with Bob Stewart
and Kathy Bunnell. The temperature was in the low to mid 60's and
plenty of sunshine. Still some water in the canyon and many bugs were
nectaring on willow flowers - not much else in bloom except one small
pink gilia or lianthus type flower with a forked anther. A few species
(*) seem to be out as much as a month early for the Huachacas.
