Answering your question on D, plexippus. The Monarch feeds exclusivly upon
Milkweeds of many varieties. Milkweeds are found throughout the world in the
temperate and tropical regions. Some tropical Alscepias are deadly poisonous,
therefore are the caterpillars and butterflies I.E. Amauris of Africa and
Euploea of tropical Asia. The Monarch can be found throughout the world from
Canada to Argentina, west to Hawaii and Asia, Papua New Guinea, Solomin Is and
Africa. It has also been reported occasionaly in Europe as far north as
Britain.
