_Archiearis_

	According to the Hodges checklist (MONA) there is only one species
(_infans_) of _Archiearis_ in North America (north of Mexico). According to
Scoble, there are 12 species in the subfamily Archiearinae, found in the
northern Palaearctic, southern Andes, and Tasmania. Oddly, Scoble does not
mention the northern Nearctic, which does have two species in the subfamily
according to the Hodges checklist.
